"I asked God for snow!" -Zoe

Zoe has been wishing for snow since September. We've told her that when winter comes, she needs to ask God for snow. Well, God DOES answer prayers, even those of a three-year old girl.

We received a bizzard's worth of snow and had three to four foot snow drifts by the time it was all said and done. The next morning was a beautiful scene of snow for Zoe to play in...

Our front door... all snowed in.
Sledding...(Zac is standing, not kneeling behind the snow drift.)

Exploring the backyard snow drifts...

...Now for Zoe sledding! What a blast!

Swimming little fish...

Last year, in April/May, Zoe took water survival training through ISR (Infant Swimming Resources). This year, she took a refresher course because she has grown so much in the last year. She is now a swimming little fish!

These pictures were taken in April of 2008.

This is a picture of Zoe 'testing.' After they are done training, they 'test' in a simulated 'real-life' situation under supervision. She is swimming with a regular diaper, clothes and shoes. Zoe graduated! She did awsome!
In this video, Zoe demonstrates how, if she were to fall into the water, she could alternately, swim-float-swim to the side or other place in the water where she could wait for rescue. The technique is to provide one more safety measure for our little ones. And she does it marvously!

She is a fast little fish in just a swimsuit!

(If you want to check out the website for ISR go to: http://www.infantswim.com/).

A house of her own...

At Christmas, Papa and Gigi decided Zoe needed a playhouse. Everyone chipped in to help; Papa, Gigi, Uncle Billy, Mommy & Daddy. Here is the progression...

Ta-da! Zoe loves it! Thanks Papa and Gigi!

Bowling anyone?

We took Zoe bowling and had a lot of fun!
We used the ramp and the bumpers.
Zoe was really getting into it. It's hard to hear, but you can hear her going, "OOH!, OOH! OOH!" as the ball gets close to the pins.
We really enjoyed ourselves.

prodigy?... maybe...

Zac and I were talking about the violin last night and Zoe started asking questions about it. So Zac got out his violin and they played together with it.

Prodigy? Maybe not, but it was fun!

Easter 2009

Easter suprise at home. Nothing big, just fun.

Okay, so the Easter-egg 'hunt' at church is more like a 'gather and scoop'.

Neighborhood Easter-egg hunt...

Our nighborhood puts on an Easter-egg hunt the weekend before Easter. It was a lot of fun for the kids. There were even prize eggs in each age-group for a bigger prize than all the sugar packed into those little plastic eggs. Zoe happened to find one of the prize eggs along with the eggs she picked up in her age-group. She really seemed to enjoy it.

There was a costumed Easter-bunny hopping around, but Zoe thought he was scary, so we found a lady who had brought her school class' bunny to the park. Zoe thought that was great and was allowed to pet and 'tickle' the bunny. What a fun day!

Let's build a snowman!

We only got a trace of snow, but Zoe insisted that she wanted to go out and play in the snow. She wanted to build a snowman too, so we did... just a couple of really small snowmen...

I'm off to see the wizard...

Doesn't she look like a munchkin?

My daddy works there...

Zoe really likes to try on hats, and found Zac's winter work stockingcap. She was really cute, so I took a picture...

Toddler fashion...

I just have to laugh at Zoe's sense of fashion. I know all toddlers go through this, but it's still funny... so I thought I'd share it with you!

"...seriously Mommy, I like this outfit..."

Strawberries...

Zoe loves strawberries. I brought some home from the store the other day. The strawberries were huge and juicy and sweet! We let Zoe eat a few, but they were so big it was like she was eating apples... She loved them!
