Ladybugs...

Zoe and I went to Crystal Bridge to help release ladybugs. It was a lot of fun and Zoe got to learn a little about what bugs are good and which are not. We each got a little lidded cup with about a tablespoon of ladybugs inside to let go in the gardens. Zoe picked out the plants to put them on and we opened the lids. Immediately her arms and hands were covered with ladybugs, so I taught her to gently blow them off onto the plants. Zoe then proceeded to rescue the ladybugs in the pathways to they wouldn't get stepped on. I hope she remembers this time. Maybe, when the gardens open again after their remodel, we'll make this an annual event.

Anticipating the arrival of baby sister, Grace...

Mommy at 37 weeks... any day now according to the doctor... we're all getting very excited.

Dreams of a little girl...

Zoe keeps telling me she wants to be an astronaut. Who knows what she'll grow up to do, but it's fun to guess.

Big sister and Little sister...

Zoe is a big sister of a soon-to-be born little sister! Grace Elein will join us in May, 2010 sometime. We are all very excited!

Sledding Fun!

We received another blanket of snow this winter and took full advantage of it. Zac and Zoe did all the sledding while all the rest of us looked on, smiling, giggling and all out laughing at the fun.

"I asked God for snow!" -Zoe

Zoe has been wishing for snow since September. We've told her that when winter comes, she needs to ask God for snow. Well, God DOES answer prayers, even those of a three-year old girl.

We received a bizzard's worth of snow and had three to four foot snow drifts by the time it was all said and done. The next morning was a beautiful scene of snow for Zoe to play in...

Our front door... all snowed in.
Sledding...(Zac is standing, not kneeling behind the snow drift.)

Exploring the backyard snow drifts...

...Now for Zoe sledding! What a blast!
